Redbridge School Streets
The School Streets scheme at Oakdale has been in place since September 2024.
Both Oakdale Infants' and Junior schools are part of this scheme. This means that during term time, vehicular traffic, will be prohibited from driving into the area shown on the map detailed in the letter sent previously. This will be between the times of 8:15am - 9:10am and 2:35pm - 3:40pm.
Whilst we understand that this will cause some inconvenience, we have to prioritise the safety of our children. At the moment, drop off and pick up times are extremely dangerous. Children will still be expected on time for school so please leave early to ensure you arrive to school before the gates close at the start and end of the school day.

Parking
Parking in the roads around Oakdale Infants' and Junior schools can be very difficult due to the residents' parking zone for South Woodford station. We ask parents to park safely and with consideration for local residents.
The School Drop-Off/Pick-Up permit allows parents and carers to park their vehicles in a designated car park. For our schools this is CP9/10 South Woodford car parks in Mulberry Way and Primrose Road. This permit allows parking during the times of 8.00 - 9.30am and 2.30 - 4.15pm. This enables parents and carers to drop off and collect their children from school without causing congestion for other road users. However, if your vehicle is seen parked before or after the time stated you may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.
