The Outreach Team from Churchfields Language facility have been working at Oakdale Infant School during the summer term 2017 delivering the Year 1 language project.
The Headteacher, Lindsay Linning and her team have warmly welcomed the Churchfields team. They have shown they value the support offered by taking on board ideas and strategies, and embedding them into classrooom practice. Two Oakdale Learning Assistants have been trained to deliver interventions to develop children's listening and narrative skills, and these will be part of the provision offered by the school from September 2017.
It has been a pleasure to work alongside the staff and pupils at Oakdale Infant School.

Oakdale Infant School is by far one of the most accommodating and friendly schools I have had the pleasure of supporting this year, from the reception staff to the class teachers and support staff. I have had a seamless welcome accompanied by a relentless desire to find me a space to work.

My child really enjoys coming to school and often is upset when it's the school holidays. he is very excited every Monday and does not like to be late!! He often speaks about his school and what he is up to with his older cousins.

We love the fact that we are part of this community. The school has helped us make friends with other parents who we regularly socialise with.

Lovely to see Mrs Linning's visible presence before and after school - she's very approachable.
